Using walking, which allows for side-by-side communication, Tom can help you to come up with good ideas and generate solutions. For some people, this is much more productive than sitting in a room talking face to face.
Surveys found that 71% of respondents felt happier and less tense after a ‘green’ walk, while 90% felt their self-esteem increased after a country walk.
Tom then guides you throughout the walk with a series of questions, helping you to determine what may be standing in your way to achieving your personal or professional aspirations.
Take a look at Tom’s services to see which may be best for you, if you’re unsure, drop him a line and see if there’s something bespoke he can offer, it will make all the difference.
You are also welcome to join Tom for an hour assessment after which he’ll then provide feedback to determine if Best Foot Forward is the right fit for you
If he thinks he can help, then you will receive suggestions bespoke to you.
“Being out in nature and exercising at the same time makes the whole process so much more enjoyable and freer, less confrontational and intimidating; in this way I find it so much better and solution-focussed than counselling.”Anna, Bedford
Is Best Foot Forward for everyone?
Yes, Best Foot Forward is a state of mind, not a physical action and we will do whatever we can to make our services as accessible as possible for all sections of the community.
However, as a medium, walking may not suit everyone for the coaching process. Joining Tom for an initial assessment will allow you both to determine if ‘walk coaching’ is right for you. But ideally, you need to be someone who is some or all of these things:
- Seeking something different
- Open minded
- Appreciates a holistic approach
- A professional looking to invigorate their career
- Looking for better direction
- Entrepreneurs seeking a sounding board
- Feels like they may have lost their way
- Want to ‘just do it’
- Looking to grab life with both hands again
“The overall experience after the few miles of assertive and near sub-conscious exercise was down-right wonderful, and, as a ‘bloke’, I felt mutual understanding rather than just having someone give ‘textbook’ advice about how to change/address/respond to issues and feelings that are much more complex than simple intellectual activity can actually address.”Will, Bedford
